Zinzola Custom Cues to sponsor Steve Lipsky

Steve Lipsky has been a top pocket billiards player for approximately 15 years. He grew up in Long Island, learning the basics at classic rooms like Leisure Time in Levittown, NY. It was here that he ran his first 100 in straight pool, at a rather old (by some standards) 22. Figuring the next hundred was right around the corner, Steve kept waiting for it. And waiting. About eighteen months later, he did it again. From there, thankfully, it started getting more frequent.
Out of college, Steve moved to New York City, specifically finding an apartment right near Amsterdam Billiards so he could study under the great players coming out of that area. He learned rotation from George SanSouci and straight pool from Danny Barouty, perhaps the brightest mind for that game alive today.
Steve has become a force in 14.1 over the years, and has quite a few accomplishments in the other disciplines as well. Between 9-ball and straight pool, he's beaten players as strong as Johnny Archer, Nick Varner, Max Eberle, Danny Harriman, Tony Chohan, Danny Basavich, and Jasmine Ouschan, all in major tournaments. In the annual BCA 8-ball amateur tournaments in Las Vegas every May, Steve is easily the winningest male player from the deeply-talented NYC area over the last ten years.
Perhaps the strongest player in history to graduate from the Ivy League, Steve currently works in database marketing and is married to his lovely wife, Gina. His high run is 207, he's run hundreds of hundreds, and he loves playing with his new Zinzola cue and being part of Tony's team.
"Everywhere I play, people stop me and ask about the cue. Tony really did something special with this one. The hit and balance are both perfect; I would never play with anything else."
